A wonderful good evening my Katzebohles back home!
Wait...let me open my Budweiser....ahhh, refreshing as hell! The funny and maybe..yes gay..thing here at opening a beer: You don't need an opener (or if you're hammered your mobile) to open it, you can easily turn it off like water bottles - how unmasculine ist that ah?!?!

But anyway, I got my beer opened and we can go on! I tried to update my blog yesterday but our internet was down...and still is, but we got neighbours which got open networks today, thank you for that! I've did a huge flickr update moments ago, cause I've been to the marina of Marina del Rey, the part of LA I'm working at and took some really really nice photos. You can all check them out here at my FLICKR ACCOUNT. But here are some of them:

The harbour is great, it's the largest ever built yacht harbor on the entire world...amazing ah?! Yes, so my plan was to walk around the complete harbor and check out all the boats - "thinkste:-)" - it's sooo huge, it took 15 minutes to walk down just one stage! And it's getting dark here very fast, that's why decided to see the sunset at the beach - which was actually a really really good decision. An amazing sunset, kind of romantic, wished I had some buddies and beers with me! :-) The not so good thing yesterday was, that, as I've already told you, my internet was down, so I wasn't able to talk to the boys, waiting for me after another Douala night. Sorry once more! Would have enjoyed it a lot!!!

Today was a good day! Work was okay, wordpress gets on my nerves, but it was okay. I've been to a watersports store at lunchbreak and was talking to them about getting a surfboard. They have a lot there. Used ones for 100-200$, I think even if I won't be able to surf that much in the next winter months I'll get one anyway! And as British Airways told me it's only 45 Dollars to bring it back to Germany...let's see, I check out the internet about used ones too and then I'll decide what I go for.

After work I was running again (I start living up to my name: Don the Ethiopian haha). Yes, and cause the 6km weren't enough I added 2 more and at the weekend it will be my first 10km run here in the states. Afterwards I had again one of my great pasta plates (but with a whole lot of jalapenios again, which kill me tomorrow morning at the toilet hehe!). So enough for today, I'll have one more beer, check out surfboards and watch the new Alarm for Cobra 11 Period hahaha! Great!

I dedicate this picture to daddy Bruce, it's one of the best I've ever taken, and it goes out to one of the best guys out there! I wish you could be here with me, catching some Kristallwoiza and great moments!

Hey Buddies, how are you doing?!
I'm already 2 weeks in LA now and I like it a lot!!!
Especially my new room, which you gonna see here below:

It's pretty cool, enough space to take one of you guys in here, girls can come in double:-) And the best thing: WiFi of the neighbor is also unlocked:-) Here we go! The first night in my new bed was amazing - just untill these mexican apes, started to cut the grass at 7 in the morning. Big hands for that...but anyway, so I skyped with mummy before goin to work. I drove again with my sweet ride, the thing I recognized today: my left blinker is not working...so right turns may be prefered when the cops show up in the rear mirror!

Work was cool, still working on a Blog Design, will show you the result when it's finished. For lunch we went to an italian restaurant, locals call it "GARLIC-HELL"! Hahaha! And it deserved its name! Just after coming in there was this garlic flavour everywhere and the vegetarian lasagne was also full of it! Its good that this blog has no smell-plugin!

After work I went to T-Mobile! I tried to shop a mobile for 2 days at T-Mobile and AT&T over the internet, but it didn't work! "Hat down you pros!" But actually it was a lot better to shop it personally so the guy at the store set everything up for me and see there, for 19 Bucks it's a pretty pretty good one!

So that are the news for today, now I try to get tickets for THE MIGHT alias DRAGONFORCE in Holywood on friday night! And next weekend: STORY OF THE YEAR at the Long Beach Festival. How nice is the music-life here! I love it!

Have a nice day you all! Bye bye!

Hey good old Hasehirns!
I'm glad to be able to proudly present you my new ride! 20" chrome rims, 35 damn sweet subwoovers in it, a glass sunroof and 293 PS! Actually not, but here it is (my bamboo-rat ride):

Yesterday wasn't that interesting, so I decided not to update the blog but wait till today cause a lot new stuff is goin on right here. Markus, the former intern at T-Sign, had to leave today. So we he had to manage some stuff and I helped him out. We drove yesterday night to the boy he has rent his car from - it was my first drive on the freeway. You'd love it. 6 lanes, you're allowed to overtake left OR right and nobody (or only just me) knows how fast you're allowed to drive. But I execute the rule Half-Shark-George told me: "Be the follower - not the leader" So if somebody got flashed, its not you:-)

After that ride I went to bed instantly...well maybe not that instantly, I first enjoyed the lovely websites you can stream legal american series here...and started to watch the actual Scrubs season...but of course fell asleep while doin that. 5:30 - Alarm rings - God damit! I had to drive Markus to the airport...so I did, waved him goodbye and drove back home to Emerson Ave. Margareth already waited for me to tell me that the car she possibly could give me was ready to pic up at the garage. So I went there with the families' dad and a grey-haired mechanic told us: "There's no reason to worry, you can drive down to San Diego and there wouldn't be one single defect, believe me!" Perfect! They passed me the keys and I could drive with my "own" car to work. This car is amazing! All fucked up in the inside, I think nobody has cleaned it since the fall of the german wall and the outside must have been cleaned by some vietnam-soldiers straight after they came back to the US. The inner roof falls down at the back of the car, the mechanic told us it probably would be around 100 bucks to fix that but all of you know Tape-Don! I'll go to the "Obi" buy a Duct Tape and fix it on my own (for about a sixpack of beer!) Great ah?! All learned from Murxer-King ( :-) ) Bruce!

Work was cool - have to design a new blog for an european-american community, cool project. We went to an italian panini bar for lunch. As we arrived there, Jochen recognized some guys he knows, actually they are architects from Stuttgart, running their own company here. So it was a funny lunch, lots of stories about Germany and our Schwobaland...and all of them were crazy about their kids...so I decided to go for one too - right now - mum, dad - what about an american grand-son?!?! Sounds great ah?! Hahahaha! Just kidding, I'll go for twins!

After work I cruised home with my lovely car, changed my clothes and went outside for jogging again. 6 km - 27 min. I'm getting used to it again. After a big plate of pasta I started to move into my new room. It's pretty cool, I'll show some pics tomorrow... So I got a new home here. That's cool!

I gotta watch some episodes of Nitro Circus or Scrubs and fall asleep (after 5 minutes):-) So see you all tomorrow with the update of my new room!
Have a nice day and let it rock!
Bye

Good evening everybody back home and here in the US!
It's sunday night and I had a nice weekend! On the left you see the promised picture of hammer-night on friday! Look at this huge cup! Jealous?! Should be!
So but now back to sunday the 13th of september in LA! It was a really relaxing sunday with no stress and a lot of nice skype talks back home! I stood up, made my great cornflakes and started skyping with my parents, which was actually really nice and daddy Bruce even presented his newest song he learned on the accordion! Nice one! And we'll keep my VW Van, which makes me really really happy!

After these talks I cooked like an italian chef my pasta with tomatos and garlic and recognized once more that I can't estimate the amounts I add to my meal, so I had the way too much paste and almost no sauce...but who cares. After eating I watched some Nitro Circus episode and went out for jogging. 6km in 30 minutes. Cool!

In the evening we went to the beach to celebrate Markus' Farewell Party!
The first party in the US I've been too, and I gotta say it's not like in Germany, but really OK. Even if I had to drive...;-) This beach was beautiful, fireplaces every 30 meters, lit up by groups of 10-40 people and the sun falling down behind the horizon...great! We've been a group of about 10 people and lets point out that there have been more ladies than guys! Perfect:-) But no vegetarian sausages like I've expected it... We've been a real international group: Austrians, Americans, Germans, Japanese, Polish and Indian. Great! I instantly took the possibility to learn some polish words and not only: Pivo Brosce! Hahaha! Actually the Indian guy, named Gotham, was really really funny and we did a lot of Schabernack together, like you can see in the photo! We've founded rivalry to the Ku-Klux-Klan - the Cu-Cups-Clan! Hahaha! Kind of offensive in such an international group but....who cares;-)

So now I gotta go slepping, see you guys tomorrow!
Servus, Pfiati und Hallo!
Sleep tight!

Hey ho lets go!
So if you may have noticed, I've not been able to post my blog that good yesterday. We, what means, Markus the old intern of T-Sign and his austrian friend went to a sportsbar and drank some of these huge beer pitchers (pictures tomorrow) and played billiard. On our way back home we stopped at a liquor store to grab some more beers...and yes....you know how this one ended...shitfaced!!! So I had my first "rush" in the USA - how good is that:-)

Since yesterday I'm staying in my new home, a suburband house of a japanese-american family. Markus used to live here, but as he leaves on tuesday, I will move into his room. The family is actually very very nice. Mum Margaret is a teacher, "bappe" whoever (joe I think) is an acupuncturist, younger son Kenji is a freshman at highschool and Sho is about to leave for University. And all of them are really nice. Especially the father! He barely can speak english but he's funny as hell!!! And theres one new one in my life too! Acutally she's a woman! Ginger! Or like I call her: "Katzebohle" or "Killer-Bambus-Rat". Here she is, a very very small dog, but I already train her to beat terriers in dogfights!

Yesterday my "rush" wasn't the only new american experience I had on this day.
I've also been shopping for the first time in the US. And it was crazy, I didn't even had a clue what products you buy and which ones are only cheap if you are a club member of the store....crazy! The one thing I recogniced was the fact that everythihg is packed in big sizes. 2 liters of coke, huge chip bags and so on. I think thats one of the facts why americans used to be not as skinny as me. The other one is you get food at every single corner in every part of the city. There are Mc Donalds, Subways, Fatburgers and so on everywhere...and they are also selling stuff like coke in the biggest caps I've ever seen. Another fact about America are bags!!! You get bags for everything. If you go shopping you get a bag for almost every 3 products you buy...that is sooo ridiculous, you come home with 10 bags for a 30$ buy at the supermarket! Environment - there you go!!

Today we've been to the beach and it was amazing. The weather wasn't as good as expected, but the waves were insane! Also if they only where about 2-3 meters high, they had soo much power I even got scared when I was in there, trying to dive through them. The locals where amazing, everytime the waves were getting bigger, they instantly ran into the water to bodysurf these huge waves. Great! After going to the beach we went home and I skyped with my sis and watched the Apple Ipod Keynote, which was actually pretty entertaining again. At 6 me and Martin, the other guy from Austria wanted to leave for the movie theater, but there was a grill-party going on at our house and a few people were interested in us...(at least they pretended to be). So we talked to a very nice lady who showed us some amazing pictures she drew for the animation movie she wants to shoot. I told her that I want a copy of these, cause she's so talented in drawing...I'd love to have these skills....but I'm better at the bar than at the brush...:-) After a not that short talk we went to the movie theater which is located in a very vey cool mall and watched "District 9". An alien-movie, but even if I hate these type of movies, it was cool. The style and the story really amazed me in a way...

So that's enough for now, I really gotta go sleeping again.
Tired as an old Katzebohle!
See you!
